What is the load index and speed rating of th

The number in front of this parameter indicates the load index of the tire, and the English letter behind it indicates the speed grade of the tire. Interestingly, some tires have two load indices, which indicates that the tire can withstand different loads in the case of single and twin tires, the general single load index is high, and the twin load index is slightly lower.

The load index of the tire refers to the maximum load that the tire can carry when the tire is inflated in accordance with the specified pressure. It is usually expressed by a number, such as 91 means that the maximum load of each tire is 615Kg, 96 means that the maximum load of each tire is 710Kg, and 105 means that the maximum load of each tire is 925Kg. However, it does not mean that the tire exceeds this maximum load will be immediately damaged, but it is not allowed to run for a long time. For example, the use of tires with a load index of 91, the maximum load of each tire is 615Kg, and the total load of four tires on a car is 2460Kg. If the total weight of the car exceeds this value, the deformation of the tire is larger, and the long-term operation will generate more heat, which will eventually lead to tire fatigue damage and reduced life. Even the structure is damaged, resulting in a flat tire accident.
