What's the difference between wide and narrow motorcycle tires

1. Different advantages:

Narrow tires:

The biggest benefit is money saving and low sound. The acceleration is lighter and the fuel consumption is more economical.

Relatively speaking, if small and compact cars want to have better acceleration and lower fuel consumption, the tires will inevitably be narrower, and the performance type and luxury type will be wider. When buying a car, under the premise of ensuring basic brake performance, owners who are concerned about fuel consumption and "speed up feeling" are better to choose narrow tires.

Wide tires:

At first glance, it looks very grand and beautiful. Wider tread, stronger grip, better tolerance of side forces, a positive impact on driving stability, more stable handling, and better cornering and braking.

2. Different disadvantages

Narrow tires:

The area of the tire touching the ground is reduced, the grip is not as strong, and the braking performance is not very good.

Wide tires:

However, the contact area between the tire and the ground becomes larger, its friction area will be larger, the resistance will be increased, and the speed will be relatively slow, resulting in high fuel consumption. Steering will also be heavier, and if not for the quiet reinforced tires, the tires will be a little more volatile.
